Program:
6.00pm Reception
6.30pm Dinner
7.00pm Speech
7.30pm Q&A
The study of Kabbalah has been made famous and popular by Madonna, but this ancient wisdom has its roots in heaven and earth and had evolved throughout time. The essence of this spiritual tradition describes the way in which the Divine presence becomes manifest in our world through various ritual practices and meditations. Rabbi Marc will share some of the history and principles of these mystical forms.
Rabbi Marc Soloway has been the spiritual leader of Congregation Bonai Shalom in Boulder since 2004. Before studying to become a rabbi, Marc was an actor, storyteller and practitioner of holistic medicine in his native London. Marc has always enjoyed teaching Judaism inside and outside the Jewish community and he highly values interfaith dialogue. Issues of sustainability and the environment, as well as social justice have been important priorities for Marc in recent years and he traveled to Ghana last summer with the American Jewish world Service and is a proud member of a chicken and goat co-op.
